The Indian River County Bar Association supports The Florida Bar Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) to assist persons in need of a lawyer to identify local ones who specialize in the field of law that appears to relate to the need of such persons (1-800-342-8011 or 1-800-342-8060 extension 5844). This service provides referrals to attorneys who will conduct an initial one-half hour office consultation for no more than $25. Participating attorneys are required to submit an extensive application to the service and they must be a member in good standing of The Florida Bar with no pending probable cause complaints. Referral Service attorneys also are required to have professional liability insurance with limits of not less than $100,000.
