8:30 – 8:45 a.m. – Registration
8:45 – 9:00 am – Opening Remarks – Judge Paul B. Kanarek.

Introduction of speakers: Judge Hugh Starnes, Shelly Finman, Esq.,

and Debbie Silver, Ph.D.
9:00 – 10:45 am – Adversarial and non adversarial communications
10:55 – 11:50 am – Interdisciplinary Organizations: FLAG and AFLP
12:00 to 1:00 pm – Lunch break – lunch provided (included in cost)
1:00 – 1:50 pm – Legislative Update – Judge Kanarek
2:00 – 2:50 pm – Cooperative Family Law – Role play and breakouts.
3:00 – 4:30 pm – Debriefing and discussion on role play and breakouts.
 

Interdisciplinary Seminar:
This seminar is designed not only for attorneys but also mental health providers and any other profession involved in process

of dissolving marriages, equitable distribution, parenting disputes regarding children, lifestyle analysis or any of the myriad

of topics involved with family issues. We are actively inviting mental health providers to be involved in this seminar and

to possibly pursue an interdisciplinary organization to assist everyone involve in dissolution of marriage.

Registration information:
The cost of the seminar is $125 per person and includes all materials and lunch if the registration is received by

October 15, 2008. After that date registration will be accepted, including at the door, for $150 per person. Paralegals and office

staff are welcome. Seating is limited.  To register please send the registration check made out to: Indian River County Bar Association.

Location and Directions:

The seminar will be held at the Richardson Center of the Indian River State College, Mueller Campus in Indian River County.
From I-95 take the exit for SR-60 and go east to 58th Avenue. Turn right (south) onto 58th Avenue.
